When is the German Open 2018 taking place?

The German Open 2018 is being held from 21 – 29 July 2017.

  • Qualification rounds: Saturday 21.07. and Sunday 22.07. – Free admission!
  • MANHAGEN Classics: Sunday 22.07. (subject to change)
  • Rounds 1: Monday and Tuesday
  • Round of 16: Wednesday and Thursday
  • Quarter-finals: Friday 27.07.
  • Semi-finals: Saturday 28.07.
  • Final: Sunday 29.07.

Where can I buy tickets?

Up to what age do children have free admission?

It’s for children up to the age of 6 – but they have no automatic claim to a seat of their own! Children must sit on an accompanying adult’s lap if no seat is available.

Can drinks and food be brought?

For security reasons it is prohibited to bring any drinks on site. Exceptions apply to guests who have to carry beverages or liquids due to illness or other health reasons. Excluded are babies and infants.

Food for self-catering on site is allowed.

Can bags / rucksacks, etc. be brought?

For visitors of the German Open new rules apply when taking along bags. For safety reasons the carrying of backpacks of all sizes, trunks, trolleys and boxes is prohibited. Handbags and bags up to a size of DIN A4 can be taken.

Will there be a Legends' Match, and if so, when?

The Legend’s Match is on Sunday, 22th of July.

Are pets allowed in the tournament grounds?

No animals are allowed in the entire tournament area.

Is the price of a Hamburg public transit system (HVV) trip to and from the stadium included in my tournament ticket?

The trip to and from the tournament using HVV public transport (2nd class, for the entire metropolitan region) is included in the ticket price.

Betting or gambling

No ticket holder may continually collect, disseminate, transmit, publish or release from the grounds of the Tournament any match scores or related statistical data during match play (from the commencement of a match through its conclusion for any commercial, betting or gambling purpose). The continual use of laptop computers or other handheld electronic devices within the confines (spectator area) of the tournament match courts is prohibited. The exception to this provision is properly credentialed media, tournament vendors and tournament staff when used in the performance of their duties.
